The average Local Government in Australia sends out rates notices to approximately 12,000 house owners on a quarterly, half-yearly or yearly basis. This means that Councils are printing 24 reams of paper, assuming that the notice is only a single page, and paying upwards of $6,000.00 in postage costs per mail out.
